Wielkopolska Higher School of Tourism and Management in Poznań was established in 2003 and on June 17 2003 was entered to the register of non-public higher professional schools held by the Ministry of Education under the numer 134.

Our School offers three-year BA studies in Tourism and Recreation, major in Tourism Services, both full-time day (from Monady to Thursday) and extramular (working sessions every other week). The purpose of the studies at Wielkopolska Higher School of Tourism and Management is to edeucate specialists prepared to work in a dynamically developing sector of a broad range of tourist and hotel services.

The curriculum consists of the general subjects: foreign languages (English, German, Spanish, French and Russian), Computer Science Basics, Economy Basics, History of Art and Culture, Organization and Management, Psychology, Human Physiology, Ecology and Environment Protection Basics, and majors: Tourist Geography, Touring, Tourist Law and Insurance, Tourism Economics, Theory of Recreation, Tourism Management, Tourism Basics, Physical Culture, Tour Guiding, Health Prophylaxis, Marketing and Market Analysis, Financial Accountancy, Information Technology in Tourism and Recreation, seminars and student practical training.

Student practical training forms an integral part of the educational process. Students can check their theoretical knowledge and put it into practice in hotels, travel agencies, guest houses and in a natural reserves and parks. They can take part in the national tourist trade fairs and go to Berlin for the international fairs.

Our student have also an opportunity to do various courses: for tour leaders, camp counsellors, and touristic route marking course. Students of our School participate in sport camps: in summer (water sports) and in winter (ski training).
Our graduates obtain BA degrees and are prepared to run travel agencies and work as managers of tourism and recreation.
